Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, contractors, and/or delivery personnel, verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and following post orders for access control.
- Support day-to-day operations by maintaining detailed activity logs, communicating with dispatch and/or site representatives, and assisting with assigned security-related duties across varied indoor and outdoor working conditions.
