As a Security Officer - State Facility Patrol Driver in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and calls for assistance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support a professional atmosphere rooted in integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3+ years’ combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting assistance, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports and maintain logs of patrol activity, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or public responders when needed.
