As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access control needs, and guest inquiries. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify site contacts and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, labs, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity, while documenting observations and submitting reports.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and badge readers, and assist with visitor processing, deliveries, and contractor check-in in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
