As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a food and beverage location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, loading docks, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
- Control access for employees, contractors, and visitors by verifying authorization, directing traffic flow, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries according to post orders.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, observations, and incidents using written logs and/or electronic systems, and assist with evidence preservation and follow-up documentation when required.
