Requirements

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, yards, parking lots, and perimeter fencing, checking doors, gates, and/or critical assets for unusual conditions that may help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor and control access at designated entry points, verify identification and/or credentials, manage vehicle and delivery traffic, and document arrivals, departures, and/or restricted area access per post orders.
Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as directed and in accordance with use of force policies and training.
Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, maintain security-related equipment, and communicate clearly via radio and/or phone to support shift coverage and escalation protocols.
