As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and/or visitors, and deliver helpful customer service with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns and assisting with appropriate notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas during patrols, assisting with visitor directions and observing for policy violations and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Complete patrol and incident documentation, including logs and reports, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.
