As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements. Bring strong customer service and communication skills while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to on-site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical facility.
  • Respond to alarms, releases, fires, medical incidents, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading areas, buildings, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe behaviors.
  • Control access at gates and designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor badges, and documenting deliveries and contractor activity per site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol observations, and unusual activity; communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision using approved reporting tools.
