About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Hinkley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts and/or dispatch, and deliver helpful customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, logging visitors, issuing badges when applicable, and directing traffic or deliveries per site procedures.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports, use radio and/or telephone communications, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives as needed.
