Security Officer - Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Pekin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and report potential hazards or policy violations.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information as required, and communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, restricted areas, and access requests.
- Support emergency and incident response by following post orders, assisting with evacuations or restricted access procedures when directed, and communicating clearly with supervisors, employees, and/or first responders.
