About The Position

As a Security Officer Maritime Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a valid TSA issued TWIC.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government port location.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas by verifying authorized access, directing foot and vehicle traffic as needed, and following post orders for government-related operations.
  • Support daily location operations by communicating with supervisors and/or public agency representatives, maintaining awareness of changing conditions, and assisting with security-related inquiries from the public.
