As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist employees and visitors with a customer-first approach. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under the AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or media and telecom location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or access control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry by checking credentials, managing visitor sign-in, and coordinating with site contacts for deliveries and after-hours access.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate internal contacts and/or public responders as needed and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed activity, incident, and patrol reports, noting unusual conditions, policy violations, and follow-up items, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
