As an unarmed driving Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge activity as needed. You will respond to reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering a customer-first experience. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity and/or policy violations that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, logging visitors and vehicles as required, and directing personnel to the proper areas.
  • Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation, including patrol logs and observations, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts.
