About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Routes in Viera, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will perform routine indoor and outdoor patrols, provide a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support tenants and visitors with professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting roving coverage and rapid response. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and bring integrity, teamwork, and innovation to every shift.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or access control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, potential policy violations, and/or hazards; take appropriate action consistent with post orders and site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes when appropriate and requesting assistance from local responders as needed.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and/or observations, and communicate relevant updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
