About The Position

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Routes in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at an aerospace and defense location, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access to buildings and restricted areas by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site personnel and outside responders as directed by post orders.
• Document patrols, observations, and incident details in written reports and shift logs, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and oncoming officers.
