As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flow. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with clear communication, teamwork, and integrity in a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor alarms, access points, and surveillance systems as assigned, verifying credentials and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to location procedures.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate shift updates, and assist with security-related inspections and/or checks as required by the location.
