As a Security Officer Patrol Coverage Team in East Meadow, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer serving a government school location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, students, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe daily activity involving students, staff, visitors, and vendors while documenting security-related concerns according to site expectations.
• Support a positive environment by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting maintenance, access control, and/or behavioral issues through proper channels.
