Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Associate in Cambridge, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain a visible presence, support access control and badging processes, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and staff while documenting activity. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying management and emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor building access points, elevators, and loading or receiving areas, verifying credentials and directing guests and deliveries per post orders.
Complete shift activity reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or the client representative.
