Security Officer Patrol Associate
About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical production location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site-specific security-related protocols.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports on daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns, and support assigned post duties as directed for an unarmed patrol role.
