About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and reporting suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
  • Assist with de-escalation, directions, and general assistance requests while maintaining awareness of surroundings and following Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
