About The Position

As a Security Officer - Community Patrol and Access Control in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and site leaders, assist with access control and incident reporting, and deliver a customer-focused experience. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the warehouse, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and support operations by checking identification, visitor logs, and delivery driver information per site procedures, and directing personnel to the appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders when required.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs on patrols, access activity, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
