Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points and observe site activity, assisting with visitor directions, reporting concerns, and supporting order at the location.
• Complete routine reports and logs related to patrols, incidents, and/or daily activity in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal standards.
