About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access expectations, and appropriate emergency response activities at a fast-paced technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report unusual activity, maintenance issues, or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support day-to-day operations by following Allied Universal post orders, using required communication tools, and assisting with security-related requests in changing indoor and outdoor conditions.
