Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Gate Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution location, where you will conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, manage access activity, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, and/or other restricted areas, verifying access permissions and observing for suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
- Support daily operations at a financial services location by assisting with opening and closing activities, maintaining awareness of high-traffic areas, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and/or vendors.
