As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control, greet tenants and visitors with strong customer service, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. Requirements

  • Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial property, including common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting onsite management, and/or requesting public emergency services when needed.
  • Support access control activities such as monitoring entrances, observing for unauthorized access, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns, and communicate updates to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
