Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Sentinel in Burlington, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and communications location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related concerns. You will support access control at key entry points, greet employees and visitors with strong customer service, and communicate clearly while documenting activity. Backed by Allied Universal, you will work with an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and key areas using approved security-related systems and/or physical checks, and assist with visitor management and employee credential verification as directed by site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation when appropriate and timely notification to site contacts and/or local responders.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate significant updates to Allied Universal supervision and authorized client contacts.
