As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or potential threats within the location to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor movement within the healthcare environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, staff, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Document all activities, incidents, and observations according to site-specific procedures and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Support emergency response procedures, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site protocols.
