You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations and activity. You will greet visitors, communicate clearly with staff and the public, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directions and queue management when needed, and help maintain orderly entry and exit flow consistent with site guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site representatives as required and providing clear information.
  • Prepare routine reports and document patrols, observations, and incidents using required logs and reporting systems, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
