As an unarmed patrol officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, support access control and traffic flow, and document observations clearly for site leadership. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Control access at entrances and gates by verifying identification, issuing visitor directions, and monitoring deliveries and pickups in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and document observations, patrol activity, and incidents in required logs and reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public responders as needed.
