You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, assist staff and visitors with directions and questions, and communicate clearly when documenting observations or escalating concerns. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and/or coordinating notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, waiting areas, and/or parking areas and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit, verify authorized access, and/or assist with visitor direction and wayfinding in accordance with site policies.
  • Complete required reports and documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management, and assist with security-related investigations as directed.
