As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and respectful customer service. You will document observations, report concerns, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, using verbal de-escalation techniques and requesting additional support when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor wayfinding, badge checks, and directing deliveries to appropriate receiving areas while documenting unusual activity per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activities, and key events, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or responding public services as required.
