As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols, staying highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, document observations, and provide customer-focused service with clear communication. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Having alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Having customer service experience is preferred.
- Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a tech and office location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical events, and/or suspicious activity, and coordinate notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Support access control by observing entry points, checking identification and/or authorization as required, managing visitor sign-in processes, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
- Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, and communicate relevant updates to the next shift and/or site contacts.
