Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff while supporting a welcoming, orderly experience. You will conduct entry screening and access checks, monitor activity, and complete routine rounds as needed to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly with hospital teams, respond to requests, and bring our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first approach to every interaction, guided by teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct entry screening duties such as greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, issuing visitor passes, and observing for prohibited items and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and waiting areas, helping to maintain orderly flow of foot traffic, communicating expectations, and escalating concerns to appropriate hospital personnel and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when directed and documenting events according to site-specific protocols.
  • Complete routine checks of assigned areas as directed, observe and report unusual activity, and support security-related reporting and communication using required logs and/or systems.
