As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government waterfront location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet employees and visitors, respond to requests, and communicate clearly while documenting observations. Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Control access points by verifying identification and/or credentials, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian entry, and directing authorized traffic to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site leadership and/or public agency contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, docks, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs for security-related activities, incidents, and patrol observations, and preserve observations for follow-up review.
