As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors, document and report security-related concerns, and respond to situations with calm customer service. Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, and perimeter grounds; document observations and report maintenance concerns or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; de-escalate conflicts when possible and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, verifying visitor identification when required, and directing deliveries and service providers according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and resident interactions; communicate relevant updates during shift handoff to support continuity of operations.
