Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and staff, provide directions and assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and reporting concerns to site leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail common areas, tenant corridors, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and the perimeter as applicable; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or hazards, and help to deter issues through high visibility presence, professional communication, and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate updates to management, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
