As an unarmed patrol officer at a government location supporting environmental services, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site leadership and/or public responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization in accordance with location requirements, documenting entries, exits, and deliveries when applicable.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate status updates to supervision, and support security-related operations during scheduled events or unplanned disruptions.
