As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol sales floors, entrances, and parking areas while remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, document observations, and respond to alarms and calls for assistance. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff while carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, loading docks, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor CCTV, access points, and key areas for unusual activity, complete routine checks, and report conditions requiring attention.
- Document incidents, observations, and shift activity in written reports, and support loss prevention and crowd management efforts during peak shopping periods.
