As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide helpful customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse, yard, dock doors, trailer parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access control points for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors, including verifying identification, managing visitor logs, and directing arrivals to designated check-in locations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disputes, medical calls, and/or suspicious activity, and notify site leadership and emergency services as needed.
- Complete required reports and logs, document incident details, and communicate post orders, shift activity, and follow-up needs to the next shift and/or site contacts.
