As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control points and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while documenting observations using computer or tablet tools. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with scene control until relieved by site leadership and/or public responders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, screening visitors and deliveries per site policy, issuing passes as directed, and maintaining entry and exit logs.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, radios, and access control, and complete accurate reports, shift logs, and incident documentation per post orders.
