You will conduct routine patrols throughout assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and strong communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Possess a security guard card
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific policies and established security-related procedures, and assisting with directions and access needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including exterior areas and parking areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, reporting maintenance hazards and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoffs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
