As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government facility, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with clear communication, quick issue reporting, and professional customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and residents at a government facility by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access control points and controlled areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor processing, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Complete shift reports and required documentation, communicate status updates to site leadership and/or public agency partners, and participate in briefings and related administrative tasks as assigned.
