As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe activity throughout the facility, and communicate clearly with employees and visitors while delivering customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, backed by teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production and warehouse areas, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in and/or badge issuance, and directing deliveries and contractors to approved locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency services and assisting with traffic and scene control as directed.
• Complete routine reports and logs, document incidents and observations accurately, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
