Join Allied Universal for an unarmed patrol post at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to situations with calm professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client employees, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farm and/or pipeline corridors, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and control entry and exit by checking identification, issuing temporary visitor credentials, verifying work authorizations, and directing deliveries to designated locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders, and assisting with evacuations when directed.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, monitor alarms and/or surveillance systems when assigned, and communicate observations promptly to Allied Universal supervision and client representatives.
