As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor platforms, facilities, and surrounding areas through routine foot patrols and visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet riders and staff, respond to questions, document observations, and communicate concerns quickly and professionally. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have CPR Certification preferred.
  • Have a Guard Card/License preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and commuters by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government rail facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, station areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and monitor visitor check-in processes in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and communications systems, document observations, and coordinate with local authorities and/or transit operations as directed.
