As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to reports, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering a customer-focused experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and facility personnel by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking lots, and perimeter zones to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access by verifying identification, authorizing entry for employees, contractors, and visitors, and directing vehicles and pedestrians to approved routes and check-in locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with on-site contacts, and supporting responding public services when requested.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, document patrol findings, and communicate issues such as hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
