As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks, respond to concerns, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. Requirements
- A minimum of 2 or more years of security experience is required.
- Be 21 or more years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual conditions, open doors, damaged fencing, and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access control points such as entrances, gates, and/or receiving areas, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site rules.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating notifications, and documenting actions taken.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and communicate security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
