You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay present to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have a TSA issued TWIC.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and post orders at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, docks, waiting areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazards; working conditions may vary by post.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, damaged property, and/or maintenance issues, and complete accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and coordinate notifications with site management and/or public agency personnel as directed.
• Assist with crowd management and/or passenger flow during peak periods, special events, and service disruptions while maintaining a professional presence.
