As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and communicate clearly with guests, tenants, and team members, delivering a helpful customer experience. You will bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift in an agile, reliable, innovative culture.

Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with tenant and guest concerns and coordinating with local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior common areas, exterior perimeters, parking areas, and loading docks to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and address policy violations through verbal de-escalation and professional communication.
• Document and report incidents, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
