You will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, respond to security-related concerns, and provide clear communication and customer service to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility, offices, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and exterior perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points and control entry for authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries, assisting with visitor check-in and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity, and notify appropriate personnel as required.
  • Complete timely documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol activity records, and communicate key information during shift transitions.
