As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and respond to concerns with strong customer service, clear communication, and professionalism. Requirements

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, visitor concerns, and requests for assistance from clinical and facility teams.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and building perimeter, with working conditions that may vary by site.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when directed, and directing visitors to appropriate locations and/or departments in accordance with posted procedures.
  • Document and report daily activities, incidents, and maintenance concerns using required logs and communication methods, and coordinate with site staff and emergency services as needed.
